My new album. Can't Help Loving, is now available to buy after concerts and via this website.
I probably should have called it 'At Last' because it has taken me so long to record a solo album.
The collection of fifteen popular songs and arias will be familiar to many of you who have come to Coverwood or my charity concerts.
The stunning pianist Gill Ford accompanies me impeccably in eleven of the numbers and the remaining four are with harp accompaniment. The harpist, Victoria Davies, is undoubtedly a rising star in the world of classical music and it was enormously rewarding working with two top-class musicians on this recording.
Alex van Ingen was the brilliant sound engineer who made the whole thing possible. With his thoroughly professional attitude and astonishingly sharp ears, it's not surprising that Alex is in constant demand all over the world.
The rather flattering photos of me were taken by a top fashion photographer, Paul Mitchell – if I lose a couple of stone I could have a career in geriatric modelling!
The cover and insert were beautifully designed by Sui Leung Chai of Colour Blind.
I should like to thank David and Mary Bowerman for allowing me to use their wonderful Steinway concert grand in their glorious concert hall at Champs Hill in West Sussex.
It's always a joy to work with top-notch professionals and these colleagues were amongst the nicest and best I've encountered.
So, down to brass tacks: the CD retails at £12 and will be available after concerts and via this website.
Post and packaging will add a further £2.50 to purchases over the internet and I will dispatch the CDs on receipt of a cheque or postal order made out to Kathryn Harries
